Hay Fever Treatment

Price

Hay fever Treatment£80

Should I have the Hay fever Treatment?

If you suffer from severe hay fever symptoms such as watery/itchy/red eyes, nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose.

If your anti-histamine tablets, eye drops and nose sprays are not helping your symptoms or only give limited relief.

If you want to gain back your lifestyle and put an end to the disruption of your daily life and work.

The Hay fever treatment can provide patients with seasonal relief.

When is the best time to have the treatment?

It can be given at any time during the season, ideally at the onset of symptoms or just before.

How is it given?

After our GP has checked you for suitability to treatment, an intramuscular injection is given into the buttock.

How quickly does it start to work?

You can start to see results anywhere from 1 to 72 hours. However, it can take up to 10 days.

Most patients are safe to drive, return to work and go about their daily routine immediately following treatment.

The area where treatment is applied may be sensitive for the first hour and may take 24 hours to recover.

How long does it last for?

The Hay fever treatment is not a cure, but seeks to minimise symptoms and provide seasonal relief typically for 1-6 months.

What if the treatment fails to work?

The effect can vary, as each patient has their own immune response. No treatment is guaranteed. However, our GP will work with you to find the best solution.

A second dose may be required for some patients. This may be offered at a discounted price if given within the first 14 days of the first dose. Thereafter, the full price will be charged.

Who should not have the treatment?

Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, has a suppressed immune system, has a current infection, is having surgery in the next 3 months or is under 12 years old.
