Should I have the Hay fever Treatment?
If you suffer from severe hay fever symptoms such as watery, itchy or red eyes, nasal congestion, sneezing and a runny nose.
If your antihistamine tablets, eye drops and nasal sprays aren’t alleviating your symptoms or provide only minimal relief.
If you want to reclaim your lifestyle and put an end to the disruption of your daily life and work.
The Hay fever treatment can provide patients with seasonal relief.
When is the best time to have the treatment?
It may be administered at any point throughout the season, preferably at the first signs of symptoms or just prior to them.
How is it given?
Once our GP has assessed your eligibility for treatment, an intramuscular injection will be administered into the buttock.
How quickly does it start to work?
Results may be noticeable within 1 to 72 hours, although it can take as long as 10 days in some cases.
The majority of patients can safely resume driving, return to work and continue with their daily activities right after treatment.
The treated area might feel sensitive for the initial hour and could take up to 24 hours to fully recover.
How long does it last for?
The Hay fever treatment is not a cure; rather, it aims to minimise symptoms and provide seasonal relief typically for 1-6 months.
What if the treatment fails to work?
The effect may differ since every patient has a unique immune response. No treatment comes with a guarantee. Nevertheless, our GP will work with you to identify the most suitable solution.
Some patients might need a second dose. If administered within 14 days of the initial dose, this may be available at a reduced cost. After this period, the standard price will apply.
Who should not have the treatment?
Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, has a weakened immune system, has a current infection, is scheduled for surgery within the next 3 months or is under 12 years old.
